Student Reporter: Aleena Khan Pathan (Class VIII)

The school election was conducted on 9^th August 2024. Students from classes IV to X elected their representatives for the academic year 2024-25, through a secret ballot system. Abhi Varshini Velpuru from class X was elected School Pupil Leader and Ram Harshith Kandula from class IX was elected Assistant School Pupil Leader.

The campaign was extraordinary. Nine candidates in the fray expressed their ideas and perspectives for the school’s future. They designed creative posters, made speeches, and prepared brilliant manifestos that enhanced the campaign.

After a lot of dedication from volunteers, interviewers, teachers, and the Chief Election Officer (Sirisha mam), the voting process was finally done without a hitch. After lunch break, the votes were counted and the winners announced. The newly elected leaders (Abhi Varshini and Ram Harshith) conveyed their gratitude to the voters. The students, too, appreciated the newly elected heads and assured their full co-operation. The day ended with post-victory festivities: dances and singing, especially by the new SPL and ASPL.

On a whole, the 2024-25 student election was a grand success with all the students participating actively. The entire school, including the teachers, is now excited to see how the new leaders will leave their mark this year.
