SHORT STORY

Students in the boarding school, Woodfolk, are spending more time with their friends and not studying much. In the school academic facilities are very excellent, but students don’t make use of them. They are not sleeping at night and chatting with others. The principal noticed their unproductive behaviour and decided to do something about it. She took in two new students, Kavya and Zarina, and sent them to the dormitory.

Kavya and Zarina observed the other students’ behaviour and they found it to be very awful. They arranged a meeting in school. The students gathered in one place. Kavya and Zarina told them about the importance of education behaviour and how much their families were working hard to send them here. Some of the students became sad, but others became angry and irritated with the lecture. After the meeting, some of the students were positively motivated and began studying, but others went to ground and kept playing as they do all the time.

After a few weeks, exam results came. The students who studied wrote very well and scored 80s and 90s. But the students who always played failed in the exams. By seeing the good students’ marks, other students also felt sad and said sorry to them They finally understood their mistake and started to study more well. The principal thanked the new kids for their positive influence.

Hence, I believe that if there is any problem in school, it takes only two good students to solve it.
