NARRATIVE
I was very excited to watch Chandrayan-3 land on moon. The sensors worked very well. The last 10 minutes were crucial. I was very anxious when it was going through the rough breaking phase. It incredibly slowed down from a great speed of 6000 kmph to 0 kmph. I was shocked. I could not even imagine an object could decelerate at such a rate. It was mind-blowing and unimaginable. As it slowed down and landed, every Indian citizen’s heart was full of joy, including mine.
I also wished that Vikram Lander had plutonium which could keep its parts warm. Russian lunar lander, Luna-25, had this, but it unfortunately crashed. Having plutonium would have extended the lifespan of Vikram, and the rover could have conducted detailed survey of moon rather than for just one lunar day.
I am also eager to find out what new information the rover uncovers and also what the photos the orbiter takes. I appreciate the hard work of each and every person at ISRO who contributed to this mission.
