SHORT STORY

Ajay was roaming outside after 9 PM. It was Corona lockdown time. The police suddenly appeared on the streets. Ajay lost the mask given by his parents. So he took out the napkin from his pocket and put it on his nose. But the police came closer and asked him to a pay fine for not wearing a mask. It was 1000 rupees. Ajay checked his pockets. There was no money. So he took the ATM card out and said “I will go to ATM machine and get the money.”

Ajay went to the ATM machine but the ATM machine ran out of cash. So from there he went to the bank. As it was night, the bank was closed. He told police that he didn’t have any money so he would pay the next day. Police said “No, you should now.”

Ajay went to his friend’s house nearby and borrowed 1000 rupees and paid it to the police. Police collected the fine, and warned him not to roam at nights.
