Short Film Summary: Umbrella (2021)

Once upon a time there lived an orphan in an orphanage. That was a rainy day. A family came to donate their old toys. They brought a yellow umbrella because it was raining heavily. One of the kids in the orphanage had a sad past with his dad who used a yellow umbrella. That sad memory was that in their country there was a war happening, so they had to travel on a sailboat to reach another country. They had no money to buy food, so his father left him in Miss Elm’s Home for Children.

Thinking about his lost father, the boy took the yellow umbrella without asking visitors. The donor’s daughter saw it and got angry. She pulled it hard from him and then the boy suddenly slammed into the rack. Then the donor family went to see what happened. The books from the rack fell down.

Tears welled up in the boy’s eyes, but the donor’s daughter, seeing his sadness, offered him a hug. Later, she offered him the umbrella. The boy thanked her a lot.
