Novel: Home by Fausto Aarya De Santis

Hasina is a little girl living in a small village, Feizung. She loves the sound of rain, tip-top, drip-drop. She thinks that even rain likes her a lot. She’s a very innocent girl because rain doesn’t have feelings. It just rains from the sky without happiness or sadness. She even wanted to talk to clouds. She loves her parents. She also learns about her grandparents and great-great-grandparents through her father.

Hasina’s family makes scarves and shawls. Her father once made a huge soft shawl for her. She loved it so much. Her mother is a theatrical storyteller. Rice fields surround her village. The village homes are made of bamboo sticks. They look like stars in the sky. They have almost everything in their village, except for a hospital. Once, when Hasina fell sick, her mother had to take her to a hospital 2 hours away.
