MOVIE REFLECTION

I have watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan recently. I broke down in tears at the end of the movie. It was such a heart touching climax. I could not believe it that an Indian man saved a little girl from Pakistan, who was separated from her mother. That man was Pawan. That little girl’s name was Shahida.

At the beginning of the movie, Shahida got lost on her trip to India. Pavan rescued her from the streets and named her Munni. One day when Indians were watching cricket, Pakistan won the match. Then Munni clapped and kissed Pakistan’s flag on TV. Then Pawan realized that Munni was not an Indian, but actually a Pakistani. Nevertheless, Pawan risked his life and went to Pakistan to reunite Munni with her parents.

When Pakistani army and police attacked them, Pawan took the blows and shielded Munni. I felt very sad at Pawan’s plight. He was a superman and inspiration to every Indian and Pakistani. His determination alone brought Munni back to her parents.

When Pawan was going back to India, Munni talked for the first time to call him. She said mama for the first time. It was her first word. Munni’s parents and Pawan were shocked because Munni was a mute until that moment. That climax was really heart touching.
