SHORT STORY
Aisha, she was a nature and pet lover. She always wanted to have a dog, but her mother said that they couldn’t afford it. Her mother reasoned that if they adopted a dog, she would need to purchase food for it. It should be taken to hospitals for shots. They needed to take it for walks in the morning and evenings and even dog’s food cost 6000. So, Aisha had put off her adoption dream for now.
Years later, as Aisha prepared to enter intermediate college, she again requested a puppy. Her mother again said no. But this time, Aisha determined to take matters into her own hands. She then asked herself that why she was not making her own decisions. She decided to be independent.
Aisha began conducting jogging classes in the park in the mornings. She woke up at 5 o’clock and conducted them till 6 AM in the park. In the evenings, she conducted math tuition on the terrace. She charged 5000 per kid per month, 15 people attended for both jogging and tuition. She earned 75,000 per month.
With this money, she purchased a puppy and named it Sidhu. With Sidhu by her side, Aisha began her intermediate.
