BOOK REFLECTION
Book: Tiger Boy by Mitali Perkins
Neel is a 10-year-old boy living in Sundarbans of West Bengal. He is a very clever student. He is very good at Bengali and English, but weak at Math. He is a nature lover. Neel comes from a very poor family. In desperation, his father even commits crime to support his son’s education.
When Neel found out that a tiger cub in Sundarbans had gone missing, he felt excited and started searching for it. He planned to find it and hand it over to the rangers. In the beginning of the novel, we could understand that when Neel got a chance for a scholarship in Calcutta. But he ignored it because he was weak at Math and also, he didn’t want to leave Sundarbans and live in a city.
If you wish to find out if he got the scholarship and caught the tiger cub, read the novel.
