August 2022

I played an important role in the Independence Day celebrations of my school. This time, my class 9 was the one who took care of all the preparations. We made props and prepared many charts for the skits of other classes. The boys managed the decorations and dance rehearsals. We were the ones who prepared the stage and blew up the balloons. Mustaq sir and I attached the balloons to the ropes.

It was a difficult job to handle everything, and it became even harder due to the absence of the tenth-grade boys. Their class and our class usually coordinate well when we work on something big, so that’s what I was sad about. We also missed Bhaskar sir, who would have made the work much easier. Some days, my friend and I didn’t get home until 6:30 p.m., as we were taking care of the preparations.

I love the amazing choreography of our new math teacher, Mustaq sir. He was the choreographer for the whole high school, and he did a great job. That was the most difficult part, and I thank all the teachers for encouraging all the students to participate in everything. The best part was that everyone was doing something; no one was free. And the celebration went very well.

However, the power supply wasn’t very regular, which was one of the drawbacks. The next day was the art competition, and I was very sad that my brother had ruined all of my art supplies. But I found my old art supplies, which were in very good condition, and I felt very happy. The art competition was in the afternoon, and I was a little bit tense. I didn’t draw a line until 2:50, but I finally started and completed my artwork in the last 10 minutes. I would rate it below average.

Later, we were playing some songs to dance, but Seetharam brother and Jaswant brother were playing the TV9 live news, which was a little bit funny. They were dedicating songs to Bhavani, and at last Chandra and Srujana mam danced to a pop song.
