Amelia, Clara, Ryan, Julian were four secret teen detectives. They meet at Amelia’s house every weekend and wander around to find anything mysterious or help anyone in need.

On a fine bright day, Clara, Ryan, Julian met Amelia at their secret base which was behind Amelia’s house. They discussed for a while and decided to take break this weekend as it was too sunny to go out.

 The shadow of the house falls in the backyard so it was not sunny near their secret base. Amelia brought a pair of shuttle rackets and a football. Clara, Amelia played shuttle and Ryan, Julian played football. After sometime the shuttle cock flies high and lands on top of a tree as Clara hit it hard and strong wind blew. The tree was behind a closed house which was next to Amelia’s house.

“I told you not to hit hard” said Amelia.

“Sorry, let’s ask them to pick it up” said Clara.

“Hey, Ryan and Julian can you please pick the shuttlecock from there” pleaded Clara and Amelia pointing to the tree.

They both agreed and climbed the small wall which separates both the houses. They jumped down to the other side and climbed the tree. As they were climbing down they heard low voices and saw a small light of fire through a slit from the curtains. They can’t make out what the people were talking inside but heard this as they were got down.

“When was the van coming to pick up these goods, I have a feeling that these goods are not safe here. We had a hard time smuggling them” said a male voice.

 Hearing this Ryan and Julian were shaken up. They cautiously climbed down the tree and went to other side maintaining silence.

Amelia and Clara were stunned as Ryan and Julian narrated everything they saw and heard.

“But, there is no one living in the house like for five years. I can’t believe there are people living in there. We would have known it as we have the keys to unlock the door” said Amelia.

“That’s weird, but we heard them” protested Ryan.

 “Let’s confirm it then” suggested Clara.

“What do you mean by confirming it” asked Julian.

“As you have said, they are going to shift the smuggled goods by a van which did not arrive yet. We will keep a watch today and see whether this whole thing is true” explained Clara.

“I guess, they are going to shift it during night because they will not be seen by anyone and get caught” said Ryan.

“How are we going to keep watch during night?’’ asked Julian.

“Clara and I are going to watch at night from the balcony of Clara’s house which is ahead of the closed house. We can easily figure out if any van stopped near the house. It takes few minutes to shift them in the meanwhile we will call any of you and tell you what was happening. All you need to do is lift our call and report everything to the cops” said Amelia.

“I hope this goes well and makes everything alright” said Ryan.

Everyone left Amelia’s house at noon and waited for the night to fall. Excitement built in everyone. As soon as the sun was setting Amelia said she was invited to a sleepover by Clara and convinced her mother to go to Clara’s house for the night. Amelia’s mother agreed and Amelia left to Clara’s house. They had their dinner and quickly went to Clara’s room. They turned off the lights and hid in the balcony and watched.

They heard an owl hooting at 9’oclock and looked down as that is their signal. They saw Ryan and Julian signaling them and pointed towards the path of police station and headed towards it. The police station was not very far it was just half a mile. The excitement made them not to sleep.

At 12:30 when everyone were in deep sleep except for the two watchers, a van turned at their lane and stopped at the gate of the house. It turned the engine off and waited for 5 minutes making sure everyone were slept. A man, 6 foot tall, came out of the van and slowly pushed the gate to open and unlocked the door with a key and went inside and shut the door.

Clara and Amelia dialed Julian’s number and called him. They didn’t even miss a single detail and filled in everything they saw. Julian and Ryan immediately related everything to the cops and took them to the mysterious house.

While the shifting was almost over the gang saw a police car reaching them. The gang quickly entered into the van and as the driver was going to turn the key he noticed that the key was gone.

Actually when the man went inside Clara and Amelia quickly came out of their house and opened the van door and noticed that there were keys of the van and stole them.

The police cars approached them and the gang was caught with their smuggled goods. There were jewels, gold bars, gems which were very valuable and stolen a week ago. The gang was handcuffed and sent to prison.

The cops thanked the secret teen detectives and the next day the four detectives were on news. Their parents appreciated for solving the MYSTERY OF THE UNINHABITED.
