CHARACTERS Jake — High schooler Katie — High schooler James — Jake’s friend

(Jake enters school. He sees Katie runs up to her.)

Jake: Hi-I! Uhhh…

Katie: Bye!

(She ignores him and continues walking)

Jake: Hey! That isn’t fair-

         (Furiously)

Katie: What do you want?

Jake: I’m sorry for what happened yesterday.

Katie: Is that all you wanna say?

Jake: C’mon! That was an accident.

Katie: An accident? That was an iPhone XR and you stranded me alone with some partying idiots.

          (Jake ponders for a while)

 Jake: Fine, let’s make a deal.

Katie: A deal?

Jake: Yep, you don’t quit our basketball team and I’ll let you have pizza for a whole week for free of cost.

          (Katie didn’t even hesitate)

Katie: Deal, but no cheatings.

Jake: No cheatings.

         (They both shook hands)

      (Jake was delighted)

      (Jake’s team, with the help of Katie, practices vigorously and wins against the Chennai Chenakkays the following week)

      (The next day)

Katie: Hi Jake!

Jake: Hi Katie!

Katie: The deal.

Jake: Yeah! I’m on it. Tonight at Pizza Hut.

         (Jake’s phone rings)

         (He lifts the phone)

Jake: What is it, James?

James (over the phone): I found score in the club house today and I ain’t gonna reveal it. Come check it out.

           (James hung the phone)

Jake (mutters): Fine.

        (Jake gets into James house)

        (James reveals a familiar iPhone from his pocket) 

        (Jake, with James’ permission, takes the iPhone and ran to Katie’s house)

 Katie: Thanks a lot Jake! But I will miss the pizza.

  Jake: I don’t think so…

          (The door bell rings and James gets into the house with nine boxes of pizza)

James: Three for each!
